Y2K Resources

  • Note: On November 2, 1999, Dennis Kennedy will give a seminar called "Crunch Time For The Y2K Problem in the Law Office: What You Must Do Now (But Should Have Done a Few Months Ago)" at the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, St. Louis, MO. For more information, call BAMSL at (314) 421-4134.

  • See Dennis Kennedy's article, "Seventeen Reasons to Be Nervous about the Year 2000 Problem," from the October 1, 1998 issue of Legal Technology Strategies (www.nettechinc.com/lts.htm). Also look for Dennis's two recent articles on Year 2000 Problems in the law office: "Tick Tock: An Action Plan for Defusing the Year 2000 Bomb," in the September 1998 issue of the ABA's Law Practice Management Magazine and "Law Firms Lagging on Fixing the Year 2000 Bug," in the September 7, 1998 issue of Lawyers Weekly USA.

  • View Dennis's presentation on the Year 2000 Problem as it affects lawyers in their own offices at his LegalSpan Online CLE Broadcast area.

This problem is not going away.

Year 2000 Problem Resources

Favorite Y2K Resources (from a recent article by Dennis Kennedy).

Robert Ambrogi, who, among other things, runs the great LegalOnline web site (http://www.legalonline.com), had a terrific article listing Year 2000 internet resources in the September 1998 of Law Technology Product News. He has an extended version of the article posted on the web at http://www.legaline.com/col39.html. His article does an excellent job of covering what’s out there on Y2K legal issues.

As a supplement to Ambrogi’s great article, here are a few of the web pages I've found most useful:
